Dorian Dugmore

Dorian is an expert in Cardiovascular Medicine and Wellness and writes extensively on health, exercise and heart disease. His work with adidas UK pioneers new concepts in Preventative Medicine and Wellness at their UK Headquarters. The “adifit for LIFE” programme won World and European Best Practice Awards for Corporate Wellness.  Wellness International is recognised at the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies Awards, received the 5 Star Health & Safety Awardfrom the British Safety Council and the IHRSA “Wellness Best Practice” Award for Europe .
An active member of Vistage International, the largest world organisation for Chief Executives, he is a board member of the World Economic Forum for Corporate Wellness.
He leads a unique research project on the heart health of the UK’s football managers.
Dorian’s career includes 20 years’ experience in education, teaching at primary, secondary and university levels. His doctoral research specialised in rehabilitation of post heart attack patients and was published in the prestigious journal “Heart”. His current clients include pharmaceutical companies, sports companies, schools, colleges and insurance companies, one of whom, Allied Dunbar, co-sponsored the first National Fitness Survey.
Working principally in the UK, Europe and Toronto, Dorian’s awards include the “Heart of Britain Award”, for improving quality of life in the community. His TV appearances include “Tonight with Trevor McDonald” to discuss stress and heart disease, and BBC’s “Working Lunch” with Adrian Chiles, focussing on the health of Chief Executives.
As a sportsman, Dorian has achieved success in playing and coaching soccer at the highest level, including 4 international appointments as the GB Coach to the World Student Games soccer team. His 20th London marathon was completed as chaperone to the Minister of Sport.
Dorian’s dream is to see specialist centres for disease prevention and rehabilitation around the world.
